Mulling through Kintyre by Motorhome

Tarbert, Loch Fyne

The Fishing Fleet

St Columba’s Footprint
The Motorhomers had stumbled upon Columba’s footprint on a rock by the shore;
‘Francie, would ye look at the size o’ that ‘dancer. He must ha’e been a giant o’ a man! Francie,’ said Josie.
‘Sure, Josie, sure, Josie, a giant o’ a man. Dae ye want tae compare your ‘dancer’ tae his ‘dancer’ Josie?’ asked Francie.
‘Naw, Francie,’ said Josie. ’I've goat sciatica in my toes,’ he said.
‘Ye cannae get sciatica in yer toes, Josie , can ye,’ Francie asked.
Josie bent down and took his sandal off. He showed the sole of the sandal to Francie;
‘Look, Francie,’ he said, ‘these are a size nine, well, sciatica size ten,’ he said.
‘Sure, Josie, sure, Josie,’ said Francie, trying to puzzle out what Josie had said.
