Motorhome Hirers Rates

All rates include Comprehensive Motorhome Hire Insurance and have NO OTHER COSTS, except for those stated within the Motorhome Owners Page.

The minimum hire period is 5 days between 17 June - 23 September, otherwise it is 3 days.

Weekly and daily rates are shown on this table.

ADDITIONS TO HIRE RATES TABLE:

CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR in UK: Please add 20% to the rate provided for any hires between 19th December and 9 January.

SCHOOL SPRING BREAK (UK/England/Scotland): Please add 15% to the rate provided.

SCHOOL AUTUMN BREAK (UK/England/Scotland): Please add 15% to the rate provided.

Mileage Charge: The first 1,000 of travel are free, then 15p per mile will be charged for any additional mileage.

EEC Green Card Insurance: All travel outwith the UK and Ireland must have Green Card insurance cover. This is an additional £7 per day on top of normal insurance rates.

ALL MAJOR OUTDOOR MUSIC FESTIVALS AND OUTDOOR SPORTS EVENTS : Please add 20% to the rate provided (due to the increased risk of damage to motorhomes). Festivals and Concerts include any outdoor event that includes live music, instruments, vehicle or animal racing of any type. An event includes any event where more than 1000 persons attend. The British Grand Prix (car and motorcycle) and The Grand National , and Major Music events and festivals (Glastonbury, Leeds, T in the Park and such-like) are all within this category. Please enquire regarding other designated sports/and any other events. 

Failure to declare – at any point up to, during or after,  booking of any MH hire to such any such event will impose a fixed penalty of £300.  Trackers and other devices are encouraged to be fitted to all motorhomes, so detection is not difficult in most cases. The reasons for the additional charges at such live events include:

• There is always a specific additional risk of damage to hired motorhomes when event organisers allocate space for their event, be it a concert, festival, or any other type of musical or sporting event.
• These types of events are not like a normal campsite where you have a good sized area allocated for the size of your motorhome and have plug-in electricity and other such considerations (chemical toilet disposal/toilets/showers/bins etc). Purchasers are limited in space and facilities, and other additional services. (Please obtain a quote for getting towed off of the Glastonbury site when it is wet – serious money is involved – up to £250 per vehicle – who pays?....in these circumstances the Hirer will always pay for any services that is not a “Breakdown” i.e. vehicle system failure.
• Event organisers obtain maximum value for the minimum of space, and accordingly, there is a heightened risk of damage to all motorhomes on their sites. It is not the fault of the hirer but is due to less space being allocated for the size of vehicle and the type of crowd. (Music festivals generally have higher risk’s associated with drug taking and drinking and this is not a normal campsite type environment).
• This heightens the risk to the motorhome owners/hirers and this is why we have to charge higher tariffs for the increased risks involved at this type of event as we are guided by our Hire Insurance Companies.
